Not at all! Once you arrive at the Upload Image page:
- Click on the "Browse" button and the "Choose File" window will appear
- Locate the image you want to upload on your "C" drive, "A" drive, or your CD ROM.
- Double click on the image file you want to upload.
- In the "Name the file" field type in whatever you would like to call your image followed by either .JPG or .GIF, depending on the type of image ... 99% of your images will most likely be JPG's
- Select how long you wish to store your image.
- Click on the "Click ONCE to Upload Image" button.
That's all there is to it!
After you click the "Click ONCE to Upload Image" button, you will receive visual confirmation that your image has been uploaded, and the URL (the location of the image) to include when you set up your auction. You will also receive confirmation of the URL via email.
For MAC users you will need to convert your images to either JPG or GIF. Here is a link to a site where you can download Graphic Converter. This software program will allow you to do this. After you've converted your images follow the instructions above.

- How do I add an images to an existing auction, or include multiple images?
One way of putting an image into your eBay auction is to type a URL (Example: http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yourimagename.jpg) in the "Picture URL" field on the sellers listing page on eBay.
The camera iconSome sellers prefer to put their images directly in their item description by including the image HTML code wherever they want it to appear... usually at the end of their auction. The HTML code for the image above would be <IMG src=http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yourimagename.jpg>. If you wanted to add additional images to the same auction you would simply add the HTML code for the other image(s) as well.
Let’s say you wanted 3 different images in your auction. Here’s an example:
<IMG src=http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yourfirstimagename.jpg><P>
<IMG src=http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yoursecondimagename.jpg><P>
<IMG src=http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yourthirdimagename.jpg><P>The <P> just puts a space between each of the images.
If you wanted to center your images under your item description it would look like this:
<CENTER>
<IMG src=http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yourfirstimagename.jpg><P>
<IMG src=http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yoursecondimagename.jpg><P>
<IMG src=http://www.epho.com/yourephousername/yourthirdimagename.jpg><P>
</CENTER>appears next to the auction title when your item appears in search results and listings pages to indicate to potential bidders that a photo of the item is included in your listing.
If you included your picture(s) in your item description using the method above you can get the camera icon to automatically appear by checking the check box in the section on eBay where you are asked to include your picture URL, that says "The description already contains a picture URL for my item" .
- How do I copy & paste an image into my item description?
The HTML code below, allows you to include your image at the end of your item description.
Here is the HTML code that you would COPY and PASTE at the end of your auction item description:
<img src=http://epho.com/yourusername/yourimagename.jpg> <p> <CENTER><A href=http://www.epho.com/bypass.html target=_top><IMG src=http://www.epho.com/epho_button.gif border=></A><BR><FONT face=arialsize=-2>Image hosted by <A href=http://www.epho.com/bypass.html target=_top>ePho.com</A></FONT></CENTER>
The easiest way to insert this in your auction is to COPY & PASTE it.
Copying & Pasting is perhaps one of the easiest and most useful functions. If you’re not familiar with how to copy and paste, simply do the following:
FIRST - using your mouse, put your cursor at the beginning of the text you wish to copy, and then click and hold down the left button on your mouse while you drag the cursor over the text. You will notice that the text is being highlighted. When you have highlighted the text you wish to copy let up on the left button. The text should remain highlighted.
SECOND - click on EDIT in the menu bar along the top of your page, then select COPY.
THIRD - go to the place where you wish to copy the information. This could be a document, or an email or your eBay item description. Locate your cursor directly where you want the text to be copied. Then click on EDIT in your menu bar, then select PASTE. Your copied text should appear in its new location.
You will find numerous uses for the copy and paste function, and it can be a real time saver.
FINAL NOTE: Remember, if you copy and paste your image at the end of your eBay item description, be sure to put "http://www.epho.com/blank.gif" in the eBay "Picture URL" field so that the camera icon will appear with your listing.
- Can I FTP to epho using Auction Assistant?
Since you can't FTP your images to ePho, the procedure when using Auction Assistant is a bit different.
The only FTP setting on the ISP Properties tab of the Options you will fill in is the "Web Images URL." Enter the base URL for your images, which looks like: http://www.epho.com/username/ Of course, replace username with your actual ePho username.Create your ad using the pictures from your HD, then post them on ePho. When you Remote Preview of Add to eBay, AA will construct the proper URL to reach your photo on ePho.
- No "Browse" button ... what should I do?
If you do not see a "Browse" button on the "Upload Image" page, you need to download an updated version of your browser. Use one of the following links to download the latest version of:
- Can I upload without the "Browse" button?
No. You must have a browser that supports file upload from your hard drive or floppy drive.
- How do I know my upload has been successful?
After you click on the "Upload Image" button you will advance to a page that will display your image. In addition to seeing the image you uploaded, you will also be given its location (URL). You may choose to CONTINUE or, if there has been some mistake, DELETE THIS IMAGE and the upload will be reversed and your account will be reimbursed.
- How long is my image stored?
You can elect to store your image for either 15, 30, 45 or 60 days.
- How long do I have to use my image credits?
As much time as you want. The image credits in your account will not be reduced, until you actually upload an image. As each image is uploaded, one image credit is deducted from your account. Many members prefer keeping an account balance of credited images so they don't have to keep coming back to purchase image credits. Rather than purchasing 40 image credits for $5.00, they may purchase 200 image credits for $20, therefore only having to execute 1 versus 4 separate credit card transactions, and benefiting from our graduated pricing structure ... the more image credits you purchase in a single transaction, the lower the cost per image.
- Why do I have to give my image a “File Name”?
Our site requires you to assign a file name so that we can assure that you are uploading an image in JPEG or GIF format (necessary for universal visibility on the Web). It also provides you the option to name your image something other than the name used on your computer. You may choose, for instance, to upload an image that is saved on your hard drive as "pic023.jpg" as "starwarsposter.jpg" instead.
- Why do I have to re-enter my credit card info?
Unlike many Internet commerce sites, we do not store your credit card information. This is for your protection. Many individuals are uncomfortable knowing their credit card information is being retained by a merchant. Our site uses one of the most secure credit card and checking account authorizing and processing vendors available, and each transaction is processed separately.
- How large can my image be?
The maximum size of the image you can upload is 300K. The cost is the same regardless of the size of the image, up to the maximum.
- Do you reimburse for unused image credits?
We do not reimburse for image credits not used. Therefore, we encourage ePho members to maintain an image credit account balance that is consistent with their anticipated image upload needs. Since many ePho members store images to be used in auction sites such as eBay™, their account balances change regularly. We have found that most members like to maintain an account balance of about 200 - 300 images. Highly active auction sellers will maintain larger balances.
